São Paulo – Artists are presenting live collaborated work in progress at the Museu da Imagem e do Som (MIS museum) in Brazil.
The interactive Nova exhibition features work by more than 100 artists from around the world, and includes live art, music and audiovisuals, performances and workshops. One example is 88 from Brazil, which showcases ‘the fictional narrative of the real landscape’ by using only recorded images of the real world, creating a ‘hyper reality’.
From hand-made illustrations to large-scale murals to modern digital art and moving images, the exhibition relies on the ‘magic of live improvisation,’ according to the organisers.
As the online world becomes integrated with the offline, live experiences are increasingly important. This is as true in the world of art as it is for retail.
