Sydney – When shopping online, Australian consumers prefer retailers that are devoted solely to internet sales.
Some 48% of Australian online shoppers are more likely to frequently buy from retailers that do not operate physical stores, according to market research firm Nielsen. Only 17% of respondents said they were more likely to buy from bricks-and-mortar stores.
Of those surveyed, 14% said that they had never shopped online, and 13% said that they choose to buy from sites that enable purchases from multiple stores. The survey also found that 24% of Australian consumers use social media to make purchasing decisions.
