Spain – Children’s footwear brand “Munich”:HTTP://MUNICH.ES has come up with a novel design concept for its new children’s store Mini Munich. Teaming up with Barcelona-based design company Dear Design, the brand created the 376-square-feet store to emulate the inside of a spaceship, complete with futuristic white curved shelving, and ‘windows’ with synchronised video screens that display shots of planet earth and the solar system – as if the store is a spaceship orbiting the world.
‘Our aim [was] to transport children to a new imaginary world,’ says Eric Dufourd of Dear Design about the project, situated at Barcelona shopping outlet La Roca Village.
This is a great example of a theatrical, immersive in-store experience to engage consumers and add interest to the bricks-and-mortar format. LS:N Global explores in-store design extensively in its Tomorrow Store macrotrend.
