Paris – Nordic design company Muuto introduced a selection of new minimalist Scandinavian products in hall 8 at the Maison & Objet show and has now branched out into furniture.
Swedish designer Jonas Wagell unveiled the new Bulky porcelain tea set range. The collection is inspired by childhood stories and plays on over-emphasised details on each product, creating an optimistic and expressive tea set.
Danish design group KiBiSi has created the Hang Around range of wooden cooking utensils. The minimalist design includes a slot detail. ‘The idea is that the Hang Around can hang on most skillets, freeing your hands,’ Jens Martin, creative director at KiBiSi, tells LS:N Global. Hang Around shows that a simple addition to a design can enable an extra function.
Anderssen & Voll, formerly of Norwegian design company Norway Says, produced the Rest cushioned sofa range, featuring subtle wooden accents for the frame.
LS:N Global’s Emma Chiu is attending the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris and will be reporting on the show throughout the week.
