New York – Logojoy uses artificial intelligence (AI) to democratise the design of bespoke company logos.
Logojoy employs much of the same methodology used by a conventional designer, but it takes much less time and at a fraction of the cost. The service is offered at three price points: £16 ($20, €19.20) for a low-resolution logo, £52 ($65, €62.50) for the premium package, including vector files and transparent background PNGs, and £132.50 ($165, €158.50) for the enterprise package, which is the same as the premium offer but also includes a session with one of Logojoy’s designers. This compares to the more than £400 ($500, €480) that a high-quality logo would normally cost.
At the beginning of the process the customer provides the online platform with several logos, as well as the preferred colour scheme and the brand name. The AI system then collates the data and provides the client with a selection of unique possibilities based on their input.
The team’s meticulous tagging process enables the AI system to match compatible terms such as ‘calligraphic’ and ‘elegant’ to provide consistency between the customer’s vision and the finished product.
Although AI-powered processes enable consumers to access bespoke designs at a fraction of the traditional cost, the debate on the creative potential of such systems remains open. For more, see our Cracking Creativity opinion.
