Jungle fresh: Website takes new approach to travel

New York – If you combined Monocle magazine with National Geographic and added a pinch of dark mystique, you might come up with Jungles in Paris, a new kind of travel website that is less about luxury hotels and more about undiscovered destinations.

New York – If you combined Monocle magazine with National Geographic and added a pinch of dark mystique, you might come up with Jungles in Paris, a new kind of travel website that is less about luxury hotels and more about undiscovered destinations.

Founders and brothers Darrell and Oliver Hartman wanted to create a visually stunning portrait of far-flung places that are not covered on other travel sites. Featuring collaborations with photographers and film-makers from around the world, the site explores not only the pretty, but also the darker side of some of the world’s destinations, including the Serengeti and Uzbekistan.

‘We wanted to create a platform that told edifying stories centred on culture, craft, geography and wildlife, something where people could walk away with a piqued sense of curiosity and a slightly deeper understanding of the world around us,’ Oliver Hartman tells LS:N Global.
