Cowley, England – Iconic car brand Mini wants consumers to know that you do not need a big car to have an adventure. The Mini Camp is a pop-up tent that sleeps two and fits on top of the car’s roof.
The selling point of the Mini has always been its small size, which is suited to urban living, but the Mini Camp, which can fit on any style of Mini, enables drivers to bunk down wherever they are. The tent simply folds out from a slim storage box on the roof, and can be folded back down easily. The box is designed in line with the Mini aesthetic, and features the iconic stripes on the back.
BMW, the maker of Mini, is focusing on making cars multi-functional. For more, read our Innovate profile on the BMW Active Tourer, which has an interior designed for adventurers, including a special compartment for bicycles.
