San Francisco – Mixing the best of printed media and web-based publishing, a new venture is aiming to bring a lease of life to the struggling newspaper industry. The Printed Blog is a free weekly newspaper which prints online blog posts on to paper. The content is funded by adverts for local businesses, which appear adjacent to the articles.
The Printed Blog aims to cater for newspaper readers who are used to reading online content for free but who are still interested in local advertisements – an update for the Freeconomics model.
