Herzogenaurach, Germany – Consumers can design their own trainers using Puma’s new iPad app, part of its Creative Factory concept developed by advertising agency Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, that is being launched in stores worldwide.
In-store, materials used to make Puma’s classic shoes, First Round and the Basket, are placed on a wooden table to give customers inspiration. The consumers then create their own trainers using an iPad, which emerges from three telescopic arms. When they’ve finished, they pay for the shoes and their order is sent to the factory. Six weeks later their unique trainers can be picked up in-store.
Puma also plans to add social-media aspects, including a game. For further details about this – and much more – look out for our Puma Creative Factory Innovate.
