Stockholm – Swedish designer Pål Rodenius gives consumers the tools to build his 2240×1220 Saw, Assemble furniture.
He sells sheets of plywood with the outlines of each furniture piece printed on them like the pattern sheets used in making clothes. ‘The challenge was to make furniture that are easy enough to saw and assemble,’ Rodenius tells LS:N Global. ‘In my project I provide tools to bring out people’s ability to create and take their own initiative.’
LS:N Global will explore DIY culture in the Age of Transformation, a key theme for our Spring Trend Briefing.
