New York – If you are hungry and a sneaker fan the Adidas Diner is for you. The new interactive video campaign by Adidas invites training shoe enthusiasts to a traditional American diner. But instead of burgers, fries and milkshakes, the menu offers the latest Adidas shoes. After clicking into the site, a waitress asks you questions about how hungry you are and if you are in the mood for something hot or cold.
After answering, your order is placed with the ‘chef’. A pair of trainers is then revealed based on your preferences. Those on a diet might receive the lightweight Torsion RLS running shoe. Those more peckish could be presented with the Torsion RVI shoe with an oversized sole.
If the shoes are to the taste of the diner, they can be purchased from the Adidas web store. In other words, the Adidas Diner is a great interactive way to draw customers into an online store.
Online retail for today and tomorrow is explored further in the Retail Futures report, now available in The Future Laboratory Shop.
