Dresden, Germany – A woman’s dance movements control the music in an installation at the South African Festival 2010 in Dresden.
In the African lab dance project by Germany-based Trans-Media-Akademie a camera motion sensor system lets visitors interact with the visuals and sound environment by dancing.
In the video demonstrating the installation, a woman’s dance moves control sounds of traditional South African Zulu drums and birdsong. The floor also responds to her moves with different neon-lit patterns.
The project shows an engaging way in which brands might interact with consumers. LS:N Global recently wrote in Seed about an animated dog that follows every moves by passers-by. For more ideas on engaging consumers, see our Brandtocracies report.
