Johannesburg – If you were to have a sip of whisky, what kind would it be? That is the question Johnnie Walker asks in its online experience, Meet Your Match.
Understanding that having a drink is not only about flavour, but about mood and ambience, Johnnie Walker’s online experience is a sensory exploration of taste. Using sound and visual effects, the whisky brand asks participants a series of questions to determine their mood, what smells they like and what environment they want in order to identify the ideal Johnnie Walker flavour for them at that moment.
The Meet Your Match experience has also been adapted offline at a series of events at Shine Studios in Johannesburg in July, at which guests were invited to discover their match in an even more visceral, live setting where they could smell and taste the product.
