Round Rock, Texas – Computer giant Dell, known for its mail order PC retail model, is to launch a new smartphone for the Chinese and Brazilian market. The Mini 3 phone will run on the open-source Google Android operating system.
The mobile market in BRIC countries continues to develop apace. By partnering with providers China Mobile and Brazil’s Claro, Dell hopes to tap into the large number of potential subscribers in these regions. Together, the two providers serve some 542m customers.
