International – Designer Ben Pierrat is offering a new brand identity for sale, complete with a name, website, logo and its own unique style. The only thing missing is a product.
Called Hessian, the identity is priced at $18,000 (€13,485, £11,630), and supplies everything that a company would need. In addition to a name and company logo, the offer includes a URL address, a professional website, a Twitter account, a Tumblr account, 10+ T-shirt designs, eight repeating patterns, a brand book guide, one app user interface theme, five app icons and 30 hours of design time.
This prefabricated identity offer suggests the concept of a brand being more important than a product and shows that it can be created without defining a product first.
This brand identity offer demonstrates a growing culture of deviancy in the business world. For more on disruptive design practices, read our Anarconomy Decade macrotrend and Disrupt Design Seed.
