San Francisco – Design agency Fuseproject has created PayPal Here, a system for electronic payments company PayPal that enables small businesses to accept real-world payments.
The system includes an app and a card reader that plugs into a smartphone, enabling customers to process a payment by entering their PIN. Following its launch last week, the number of registered users of PayPal Here grew by 1,000 an hour in the first 24 hours, according to the company’s blog.
Payments are becoming increasingly seamless. For more on how people are seeking a more friction-free approach to life, read our Bleisure macrotrend.
