Zürich – LS:N Global attended the international launch of the Audi Q3 on 1 July.
The new premium compact-class SUV is the smallest model in Audi’s Q series, and represents the German manufacturer’s first move into the compact luxury SUV market. The design follows the standard set by the Q7 and the Q5, with characteristic Audi styling such as the wraparound tailgate and large, undivided tail lights.
The interior is typically elegant and features various technological advancements, including the MMI (multi-media interface) navigation plus system, which can overlay images from Google Earth directly onto the GPS interface.
The Q3 is aimed at urban ‘trendsetters, couples and families’ who are looking for a multifunctional SUV, with occasional off-road capabilities. After Mercedes’ Concept A Class, the Q3 is Audi’s addition to a growing number of premium models that have been downsized for economic and environmental reasons.
