Manchester – Football fashion brand Umbro takes its cues from the Scotland versus the Netherlands kit in the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina for its new 1350 collection.
The Scottish navy blue strip featured the Umbro white diamond, created in the 1970s. A similar diamond now adorns the sleeves of the new shirt, and an orange shirt is influenced by the Netherlands’ kit. Football stars Darren Bent of Aston Villa and Juan Vargas of Fiorentina are participating in the campaign.
Umbro is also collaborating with designer Aitor Throup to take inspiration from Umbro football garments from the past 87 years.
