Chico, California – Expect to see men and women from the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co in lab coats on the fields as they harvest the hops and barley that make the beer.
The harvesting process was designed with a local philosophy – employees dress in research and development lab coats to pick the hops grown in the brewery’s own fields, harvest the malt and run the combines.
The micro-brewery has now introduced a new beer called the Sierra Nevada Estate Homegrown. The production process has resulted in a beer with an earthy, grassy profile and pungent notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit.
