Amsterdam – Dutch designer Pepe Heykoop has created the Skin collection of furniture covered by leather off-cuts. The work is a response to the amount of leather wasted by the furniture industry each year.
Roughly stitched together, the leather off-cuts cover each piece completely. The technique creates irregular skin-like patterns that reference cell structures and natural growth.
