Stockholm – Snickarbacken 7, a new hub for art, design, fashion and coffee, has opened in a historic building in Sweden’s capital.
The building has never previously been open to the public and dates back to the early 1900s, when horses were still transported in and out of the stables on the lower ground floor.
The team behind Snickarbacken7 is a group of creatives who decided to combine their passions in a lively, constantly evolving space.
Minna Gunner, founder of the David Design studio and Ulrika Halvarsson from bathroom shop Badrummet now run the interiors section of the shop, while Erik Andersson operates the art gallery. Consumers can also visit the van Deurs fashion shop set up by designer Susanne Bescow and drink coffee in Kaffeverket headed by barista Johan Ahlgren. It serves coffee from the Swedish roastery da Matteo and sourdough bread made at Bakery & Spice.
As consumers expect brands to reflect their lifestyles, LS:N Global is increasingly noticing convivial retail spaces take shape.
