Palo Alto, California – Technology start-up Nest Labs has created the Nest Learning Thermostat, which learns the habits of its owner and intuitively knows when to heat the house.
‘It was unacceptable to me that the device that controls 10% of all energy consumed in the US had not kept up with advancements in technology and design,’ says Tony Fadell, co-founder and CEO of Nest Labs. ‘We hope that Nest will not only save energy and money, but will also teach and inspire people to think more about how they can reduce home energy consumption.’
