Keeping on track: Nike rewards active amateurs with personalised videos

Oregon, US – Renowned illustrator and director McBess has created a series of personalised videos for Nike, rewarding amateur athletes for their efforts over the past 12 months.

Oregon, US – Renowned illustrator and director McBess (Matthieu Bessudo) has created a series of personalised videos for Nike, rewarding amateur athletes for their efforts over the past 12 months.

As part of Nike’s Your Year/Your Nike+ campaign for 2015, the global sportswear brand will send one of McBess’s animated videos to more than 100,000 people from cities across North America and Canada, in which they are the central character.

To qualify, fitness fanatics must have racked up enough NikeFuel over the year through physical activity. The campaign is designed to inspire them to achieve even more in the next 12 months.

The content is guided by the sportsperson’s own activity, created using location, weather, activity and individual Nike+ movement data, summarising their year. A runner from Toronto, for example, will receive a completely different video from a basketball player in New York.
