Espoo, Finland – The world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer yesterday launched its next product model – a netbook computer. The Nokia Booklet is a fully functional notebook personal computer, using Windows software, and will be able to access high-speed internet.
The Booklet will no doubt appeal to the growing number of people who are looking for cheaper, internet-based machines, particularly Bleisure workers wanting computer products that keep them connected and mobile.
As reported in March, mobile manufacturers and computer firms are predicted to increasingly take chunks out of each other’s markets, with a view to a future product that may see a convergence of the two – a possibility that may occur soon, if the rumours of a touch-screen tablet Mac notebook for release towards the end of this year materialise.
