New York – The Blind Barber in New York has created a candle designed to evoke the atmosphere of its interior.
The candle, produced in collaboration with fragrance specialist Joya, is made of soy wax, and was hand-poured in New York. The candle was supplied in a traditional glass Barbicide container, and emits notes of leather, smoke, honey and lavender.
‘When we were designing the scent of the candle we envisaged walking into our barber shop and being hit with the clean smell of fresh towels,’ says The Blind Barber co-owner Jeff Laub.
As LS:N Global explores in our Tribes section, brands can appeal to New Gents by creating a sense of tradition and nostalgia. Traditional barber shops are enjoying a resurgence as consumers show a heightened interest in age-old activities and rituals.
