Stockholm – Swedish public transport company SL has let consumers design their own travel card.
As well as inviting the public to submit designs online, SL sent 100 travel card-sized canvases to design students, and 183 submissions were returned. The campaign site received more than 230,000 unique visitors, with 8,970 designs uploaded in the three weeks the competition was running. The winning designs were printed and are on display in the Stockholm underground.
