Connect four: Heimtextil appeals to the senses

07 : 01 : 2011 Heimtextil : Reconnect : Campaign

Frankfurt – The Future Laboratory has produced a Trend Book and Trend Presentation for the textile show, Heimtextil, which will take place on 12–15 January.

The show, themed Reconnect, will explore four trends – Sobriety, Mix Mash, Utility and Wilderness. The Future Laboratory has collaborated with retail design agency Campaign to translate each trend from an architectural point of view. Each trend will be displayed in a separate enclosure, all linked together in a walkthrough area that will enable viewers to experience the look, texture and smell of all four trends.

The images show the construction of the enclosures in progress. Look out for the completed installation next week, when we will bring you daily updates from the show.

As part of the exhibition, the four trend themes will be presented in a special show in the Forum, level 0.

LS:N Global’s Emma Chiu is attending the 2011 Heimtextil show in Frankfurt, and will report on the main trends and launches throughout the week.
