New York – Abstract puzzle pieces and negative space were the inspirations for 3.1 Phillip Lim’s spring/summer 2011 range on show at New York Fashion Week.
Sticking with the clean, sportswear feel that has become Lim’s trademark, the collection was given a minimal-luxe polish with belted, tailored shell tops and clean-cut coats and trousers. The layering of leather with sheer fabrics created a subtle sense of depth.
Various garments in powder blue give the simple colour palette a fresh feel for next year’s summer season.
