Making a mark

10 : 03 : 2017 Superdrug : Electric Ink : Skincare

UK – Electric Ink is a new beauty brand dedicated to tattoo care.

  • Products in the range contain active ingredients that revitalise the skin and help tattoos to look fresh and defined
  • According to a 2015 YouGov study, 24% of US adults and 19% of British adults have a tattoo

Branding agency Robot Food developed the range after identifying a lack of specialist skincare products geared towards tattoo aftercare and maintenance.

The range comprises a Daily Moisturiser that protects and nourishes the skin, a Defining Body Oil that adds moisture and definition, and a Vibrancy Serum that helps to reduce redness and improve skin clarity. All of Electric Skin’s products use natural, vegan-friendly ingredients.

‘We have worked exclusively with our manufacturer to create an authentic range tailored to people who love ink,’ says Simon Forster, founder of Robot Food. ‘Tattoos are a very personal thing and everyone wears their ink differently, so it’s high time that people have a credible specialist skincare range that is as passionate about tattoos and the wider lifestyle as they are.’

From unisex beauty to tattoo aftercare, brands are identifying unique opportunities to innovate in emerging beauty markets. To learn more about the brands that will shape the future of beauty, buy a ticket to our forthcoming Beauty Futures Forum.
