Customers use a mouth swab to provide Younow with a DNA sample, which is analysed to identify whether their customised products should focus on photoageing, hydration, elasticity, antioxidant protection, or a combination of the four areas.

The cream and supplement recommendations feature ingredients such as tetrapeptide, biomarine complex coenzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid, urea, glycerin, and almond oil in varying concentrations.

All of the creams are free from irritants including parabens, alcohol and artificial dyes. The Skin-hair-nail supplements, which feature zinc, copper and wheat extract, are designed to maintain overall skin health, and are recommended to all customers, while the Sun and Elasticity supplements are recommended depending on the results of the DNA analysis.

The Big Picture

Consumers are increasingly looking for customisable beauty products and brands are offering DNA analysis to create hyper-personalised recommendations. See our DNA Me microtrend to find out more.
