Modesto, California – While wine improves with age, one vinery is teaming up with two fashion designers to show its spring/summer 2010 appeal.
Turning Leaf, the Californian vineyard, has launched a collaboration with design duo Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke for spring/summer 2010. Basso and Brooke will create the wrapping for 2,000 bottles, curate a blog and design limited-edition umbrellas.
‘There’s a complexity to their process of creating the wine and achieving the right blend and balance of flavours and that’s something we do when we work on our prints,’ says Brooke.
Winemakers are increasingly finding new ways to attract younger consumers. LS:N Global recently reported in an Insight News that there’s a mini-revolution going on in France, as wine producers ditch centuries of tradition and turn to labels with simple text, slick styling and humorous pictures.
