Pure and simple: Dior’s glass perfume testers reflect the fragrance within

The conventional method of using testing sticks made from card results in cross-contamination with the perfume the customer is already wearing. This has the effect of rendering the careful, contemplative procedure of olfactory alchemy useless.

Labvert’s solution was to create glass vials that enhance the aesthetic of the perfume and keep the fragrance itself isolated to demonstrate its full effect. The funnel-shaped glass testers contain a ceramic cylinder carrying the perfume, cut in a way that accentuates the colour and viscosity of the material within. The vials will be in use at Dior concessions.

'A simple noble form was required that would not compete with the perfume bottles, but complement them,’ says Stephan Vary, founder of Labvert. ‘As a body, a cone made of glass was chosen, which reflects the different fragrances of perfumes in an authentic and genuine way.’
