Penafiel, Portugal – The White Wolf Hotel goes back to backs with a holistic retreat that takes luxurian travellers on a contemplative journey through quietness and calm.

Designed by architects AND-RÉ, the hotel and health farm embraces the peace and spirituality of the natural environment. The minimalist white dwellings are fitted with translucent windows, providing plenty of light to help guests feel more peaceful and aid meditation.

‘The buildings dive in the ground, in a unification process that enhances the relation of proximity between the user and the site, between man and nature,’ say the architects.

Unlike traditional health resorts, White Wolf Hotel has adopted a holistic approach with separate buildings to provide a richer living experience. For more examples of how hospitality brands are promoting health and wellbeing, read The New Sublimity macrotrend and The Luxury Matrix Stage Five.
