Liquid gold: New London juice bar sets the standard

London – One cannot go very far in Los Angeles or New York without spotting an establishment offering cold-pressed juice. The craze known as juicing has become a full-on phenomenon in the US and is slowly making its way to British shores.

Roots & Bulbs is a new juice bar in London dedicated to helping consumers make healthy food choices. On offer are not only green juices and smoothies, but also house-made coconut water and healthy takeaway meals.

‘I have seen my life completely change by the food choices I have made,’ founder Sarah Cadji tells Vogue UK. ‘This gave me a deep inspiration to create a ripple effect for others that work hard and have very little time.’

Cadji says there is no target consumer and the juices are for anyone, from aged five to 75. 'We have mothers who come in and buy green juices not just for themselves but for their children too,' she says.

Roots and Bulbs claims to provide health in a bottle – a proposal that would appeal to those who worship at Body Temples. For more on the juicing revolution, read our Innovate on Jugofresh.
