Umeå, Sweden – A Swedish t-shirt brand has created a product that turns the idea of the traditional magazine inside out. Rather than receiving a printed journal in the mail, subscribers to T-post get a topical t-shirt whose design is inspired by a real news story.
Every six weeks, the T-post team chooses an off-beat news story – recent topics have included a lack of toilet paper in Cuba, and an increase in cassette tape sales – which is then sent to a leading visual artist who produces a unique print for the front of the shirt. The story behind the design is printed on the inside of the garment.
In a world where bite-sized information is increasingly welcome, T-post’s wearable single-story magazines fit consumers to a T.
