London – Vera, Chapter Two is a collection of design objects and text that tell the fictional story of a girl named Vera. It is the latest installment in a series created by Kirsty Minns and Érika Muller.
The fictional identity of Vera was inspired by 31 photographs of an unknown girl found in a second-hand store in Brighton. Each new contribution adds to her story. In this case, designers were prompted to add tangible objects to her imaginary world.
Minns created a small milk jug with candy stripes, while design duo Daniel and Emma created a series of vessels called Sweets. In a convergence of fact and fiction, the Vera project engages visitors in an imaginative journey, while tying together a series of disparate works.
