International – Samsung has launched its latest smartphone, the Galaxy S III, which features new intuitive technologies including an eye sensor, touch alert system and improved voice recognition.
The SmartStay feature uses the phone’s camera to track a user’s eyes and automatically brightens the display when he or she is looking at the screen. The S Voice technology enables users perform actions such as answering the phone or putting an alarm on snooze by saying the command aloud.
Other features include an automatic sensory alert that, as soon as the phone is picked up, indicates a user has missed a call or message, and Social Tag, which links photo facial recognition with social media streams.
These advances in intuitive features highlight consumer demand for simplified and streamlined technology, as noted in our Intuitive Futures macrotrend.
