Paris – French architectural firm, CUT architectures has designed Café Coutume where a steely ‘laboratory of coffee’ aesthetic is fused with a traditional Parisian coffee house.
The high ceilings, mouldings, columns, old shop door and oak flooring used in the refitted café contrast with the more industrial design and high-end machinery found in the laboratory of coffee.
‘It’s a space revealing the precision and expertise required to conceive the best coffee, from the raw bean to the cup,’ says designer Benjamin Clarens.
