Show of inspiration: A look behind the trends

Frankfurt – Trend forecasting, consumer insight and brand strategy specialist The Future Laboratory is one of six agencies on the Heimtextil trend panel this year. As previously reported on LS:N Global, the company, which identified the four key trends – Wilderness, Sobriety, Mix Mash and Utility –created a Trend Book and Trend Walkthrough. And during the show it is delivering a presentation three times a day in the Trends Forum, Hall 0, in which it explains the four trends.

During the presentations creative consultant Kate Franklin and The Future Laboratory’s Caroline Till explore each trend, providing insight into where they come from, the design direction, the colour palette, examples of where they are used and what the trend means for brands, creatives and consumers. The four trends were originally identified on LS:N Global’s Inspire section.

LS:N Global’s Emma Chiu is attending the Heimtextil exhibition in Frankfurt and will be reporting on the show throughout the week.
