Tailored travel: City guide that fits around your personality

27 : 01 : 2015 DELI Amsterdam : Cityguide : Travel Futures

Amsterdam – A new app is offering an interactive city guide to Amsterdam tailor-made to fit the user’s personality.

DELI Amsterdam, the brainchild of founder Anna Kolk, turns the traditional city guide premise on its head by focusing on the user rather than the reviewer’s opinion.

DELI Amsterdam invites users to complete a short personality test with questions about lifestyle, entertainment and culture, and then sorts users into 14 personality types, from which recommended sites are given.

‘We focus on our users instead of the other way around,’ says Kolk. ‘We don’t tell people where to go or what to do based on our own opinion or preference, but let them take the test, which will create a tailored experience with respect to their personality and lifestyle.’

Recommended destinations including clubs, restaurants, exhibitions and sports events are then plotted onto a colour-coded map that enables users to pick and choose how they spend their time.
