Paris – Slow retailing is the focus at new store Centre Commercial, a venture from Veja, the eco-friendly French sneaker brand.
Fashion and lifestyle products are on sale from French, US, British and Danish brands alongside reconditioned bicycles and vintage furniture.
‘Centre Commercial wants to slow down the rhythm of our fast-paced society. Reminiscent of the ways of our grandparents, we favour know-how and continuity. Rather than just offering products, we try to curate projects,’ say co-founders Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion.
The ethics of the slow lifestyle movement are at the heart of this venture, in contrast to the fast fashion offered by other stores.
LS:N Global will examine the trend for Revivalism in our forthcoming Spring Trend Briefing.
