A series of 24 waymarkers, including a beehive, weather vane and fountain, guides visitors along the route, which begins in Switzerland at the Fondation Beyeler and ends in Germany at Vitra Campus. An accompanying mobile app that contains video, audio and photographic content enables visitors to learn more about the artworks.

‘24 Stops is an opportunity to get to know both the history and the stories of the surrounding area and its inhabitants, and encourages excursions into nature,’ the Fondation Beyeler, municipality of Riehen, Vitra and the town of Weil am Rhein said in a joint statement.

The Big Picture

Walking tours such as Space Explorer and The Line take the gallery experience to the streets to enable visitors to enjoy cultural experiences as they discover new areas.
