Stay a while

17 : 11 : 2015 Scotch & Soda : Home-tail : Airbnb

Amsterdam – Inviting consumers to live the brand, Scotch & Soda has teamed up with Airbnb to create a flat that people can rent for the weekend.

  • Part of Scotch & Soda’s The Story of Things campaign on the spirit of wanderlust
  • Renters will be provided with a select wardrobe of the brand’s clothing

For the second part of its Story of Things campaign, Scotch & Soda created a short film featuring two characters, Lola and Oscar – siblings who live miles apart. While Lola lives in Amsterdam, Oscar is a wayward wanderer, exploring unknown places and sending back letters and trinkets to Lola. As well as making the siblings’ outfits from the video available to buy, the brand has turned the film set, Lola’s apartment, into a space available to rent on Airbnb

The flat is decorated as it is in the film, and not only can visitors explore the souvenirs that Oscar has sent, they can also submit their clothing sizes when they book, and will be greeted with some of Oscar’s and Lola’s favourite Scotch & Soda pieces, which they can take home.

The Big Picture

In a twist on Faction Marketing, Scotch & Soda uses a fictional story to create a brand experience that consumers can live in. For more on new fusions of hospitality and retail, read about the Pimkie Fashion Mini Bar.
