Denver – Designer Kyle Durrie has set up a mobile letterpress printing unit that she is touring around the US and Canada in order to educate people about the old-fashioned printing process.
Fitting two of the antique printing machines into the back of a bread truck she has christened ‘The Type Truck’, Durrie will visit a number of cities, including San Francisco, New York, and Oklahoma City, in order to run workshops on the traditional printing technique.
‘I’ve been booking events at libraries, community gardens, galleries, street fairs, farms, universities, back yards, and everywhere in between,’ said Durrie, in her blog about the tour.
