London – UK department store Selfridges has opened an urban gardening shop called Grow! in collaboration with guerrilla gardening activist Richard Reynolds.
Reynolds has designed a set of window displays for the Grow! concept featuring impressive repurposed gardening devices created by fellow guerrilla gardeners, as well as photos of urban gardens that Reynolds has created around the world.
‘Our aim with the Grow! concept is to inspire people to embrace unexpected ways to garden – even in the absence of a garden,’ says Linda Hewson, Selfridges head of creative. ‘I think people will be surprised at how easy it can be to be green-fingered when living in the city.’
