London – British department store Selfridges has given 20 of the UK’s best, up-and-coming talent from the world of fashion and art the chance to transform its display windows, which will be seen by more than 1m passers-by each week.
The spaces designed by Sophie Stephens and Kirsty Ward in particular caught our attention. Through the use of white card and black sketch lines, both designers have captured the youthful, energetic mood of LS:N Global’s Expression Retail design direction. Retailers are increasingly creating visual merchandising with a hand-rendered, temporary feel to communicate their message.
