Los Angeles – Artists worldwide are offering their works for flights to the delight of well-travelled art aficionados everywhere.
Art for Miles is a two-week mileage drive in which collectors are invited to swap their extra air miles for contemporary art. New York-based artist Daniela Kostova, for example, is offering the photograph Cosmonaut 1001 in exchange for a round-trip ticket from New York to Sofia, Bulgaria, where she will exhibit work at the Center for Contemporary Art, Plovdiv.
Other artists featured include Bart Exposito, Dianna Frid and Gisela Insuaste, who are all looking to minimise the cost of travel while searching for inspiration and preparing for exhibitions around the world.
