New York – In the city where there are more juice bars than you can shake a kiwi at, London-based food and culture journal The Gourmand has transformed furniture brand Vitsoe’s store into The Vitsoe Fruit Stand complete with the delightful Fruit Stand cookbook.
Inspired by New York neighbourhood fruit stalls, The Gourmand is serving locally sourced custard fruit tarts from Brooklyn in the transformed Vitsoe store and delicious home-made fruit sodas made from crushed watermelon and lime – all served from a graphic Vitsoe furniture system. It has also produced a charmingly illustrated fruit-themed recipe book that includes five fruity recipes ranging from cherries to banana, each accompanied by an individually commissioned illustration by The Gourmand regulars.
