Adelaide – New packaging from Australian monthly wine club The Tasting Bench pares the drink down to its essentials with minimalist design and colour coding.
The designers aimed to reach customers concerned with the quality of the product, rather than flashy or humorous labels. ‘Our goal was to avoid the old wine clichés while expressing clearly what The Tasting Bench is about to a key, aesthetically-savvy market,’ says Matthew Stuckey of design agency Be Friendly.
Stuckey designed the box packaging with a simple white outline that clearly represents the bottles inside. The packaging is also linked to the logo for the business, a 3×4 grid of coloured dots. The dots are repeated on boxes to indicate the month when the delivery is made.
