New York – Music duo Bluebrain have released an experiential album through iPhone and iPad apps that use GPS to alter the music depending on the listener’s location.
The Listen to the Light album, a sequel to The National Mall, is activated in New York’s Central Park. Depending on which route listeners take through the park, the music changes into different soundtracks.
This is a compelling way of personalising the process of listening to music, and making the experience more meaningful. For another example of a band facilitating a personal experience, read our Kaiser Chiefs Innovate.
